Oslo Innovation Week: Cancer Research and Innovation – The Need for Registrations and Data Analytics

Event Details

During this morning meeting in Oslo Innovation Week, we will discuss the need for registrations and data analytics in cancer research and innovation.

Cancer affects an increasing number of people worldwide. Due to the increasing number of the elderly, the cancer rate will rise. Globally, the number of new cases is expected to rise by about 70% over the next two decades. Thus both  the patient and health sector need innovative solutions to  manage the consequences at both the individual and  the societal level.

The event will showcase how Norway has assets in the cancer field and unique data from the National Cancer Registry – But still, there are needs for improved utilization of better data tools for analytics. IBM, Tekes and OncoImmunity will present how they work to utilize data and create better tools for analytics, and highlight further business opportunities that lie within utilizing knowledge in the cancer field and give patients a more personalized treatment.

Many excellent speakers, like our own General Manger Ketil Widerberg.

We are cohosting this meeting with:
Kreftforeningen, The Norwegian Radium Hospital Research Foundation and Cancer Research UK
