Oslo Innovation Week: Antibiotic Resistance and Cancer

Event Details

This morning meeting is about antibiotic resistance and cancer. Help us prevent the potential apocalyptic scenario!

Cancer patients need antibiotics to survive treatment. However, on the basis of some preliminary investigations, the knowledge of how antibiotic resistance will affect cancer treatment is limited. Antibiotic resistance is considered one of the world’s biggest threats to public health.

Antibiotic resistance, on a global scale could mean 10 million annual deaths in the year 2030 according to WHO.

We need solutions regarding how to prepare and deal with the fact that antibiotic resistance will imply a great threat to future cancer patients. We need to address this topic now, before it becomes a reality. Therefore, by this seminar, we want to provide a scene where start-ups and experts meet to discuss antibiotic resistance within the field of cancer.

The main speaker is Dr. Usman Mushtaq from the EAT Foundation.

We are cohosting this meeting with:
Kreftforeningen, OsloMedTech, EAT and Cancer Research UK
