Venue: Strandgade 25D, 1401 Copenhagen and online (link shared closer to the meeting)

The meeting is arranged in collaboration with Astellas Pharma, IQVIA, Human Bytes as well as the Nordic cancer societies.
Scope & Purpose
As populations age and the burden of non-communicable diseases follow suit in the Nordic countries, the increasing inequity of cancer diseases in particular continue to present major whole-of-system challenges at national, regional and local levels. As things stand in cancer care, it is far from everyone, who is able to benefit equitably from advancements in prevention, diagnosis and treatment.
With the aim of mitigating these important challenges as well as promoting equal cancer care engagement broadly, the Ambassadors of Denmark in in Norway, Sweden and Finland host the 2023 Nordic Meeting on Equal Cancer Care.
The meeting takes place in Copenhagen on March 14th and will feature debates and presentations on the way forward in the Nordic countries towards ensuring greater equality in cancer prevention, treatment and aftercare within resilient healthcare systems that can remain high quality and in which all patients can continue to trust.
In the Nordic countries, both the current approaches, the challenges of the future and the solutions needed are strikingly similar. On that basis, even further enhancement of collaborative efforts is warranted and a vital asset to all change and improvement efforts. The 2023 meeting is a follow-up on previous meetings at Scandinavian and national levels and on the unique Nordic approaches and expertise within e.g. integrated cancer care pathways and multidisciplinary approaches to treatment. With the 2023 meeting, these experiences and the outcomes of previous seminars will move forward with the goal of pursuing even greater cross-discipline and cross-border learning, sharing of best practises in terms of approaches, efforts regarding essential medicines and novel technological advances for the benefit of patients, relative, staff and healthcare systems.
